Geologists traditionally assume that features such as the Grand Canyon were formed by a small
amount of water over a long period of time. However, could it have been a large amount of water over
a short period of time? This latter model is thought to have been the process that created the
Scablands in Washington State, USA. A huge system of canyons formed, up to 50 miles long, 400
feet deep and 3.5 miles wide at it's head. The following image is one part of the Scablands - the

According to secular Geologists, this is believed to have been caused by a huge flood of water
following the Ice Age, although for Bible believers another potential explanation might be Noah's
Flood. The quantity of water is estimated to be ten times the volumetric flow of all the rivers in the
world put together, all flowing in one place! It is estimated that this enormous canyon was formed
within 2-7 days. Another example of massive changes in rock formations within a short period of
time is the effect of the1980 eruption of Mount St Helens in the USA.
There have been various accounts of the discovery of traces of dinosaur blood and soft tissue, despite
the fact that they should have decomposed long ago if they were millions of years old. Have a look
at the following article: Scientists recover T. Rex soft tissue
Coal and oil are supposed to be hundreds of millions of years old according to the evolutionary model,
but they can be created in the laboratory within days. Have a look at the following articles : The
Origin of Oil and The Formation of Coal Beds
